Some Spurs fans react as trio get international call ups

Some Tottenham fans on social media have expressed their frustration after it emerged that Giovani Lo Celso and Cristian Romero had been called up by Argentina for their World Cup qualifiers next month.

Romero and Lo Celso, along with Davinson Sanchez, had to serve a quarantine in Croatia for ten days after travelling to South America during the international break earlier this month.

As a result, the trio missed Tottenham’s clash against Crystal Palace on Saturday and their Europa Conference League clash against Rennes, only returning to London a day before the London derby against Chelsea.

The three players were reportedly fined by Spurs for travelling to South America despite the Premier League not giving permission for them to do so.

It looks as though Tottenham could now face another tricky situation after it emerged that La Albiceleste have called up Lo Celso and Romero for their World Cup qualifiers against Paraguay, Uruguay and Peru.

Some Spurs fans on social media have been left extremely frustrated by the Argentine duo’s call up on the back of what happened earlier this month, with Heung-min Son also called up to the South Korea squad.

Here’s how they reacted to the news:

Spurs Web Opinion

I do believe it will be a big blow for Spurs if Lo Celso misses a couple of games because of quarantine requirements. In fact, with Rodon back in action and Tanganga back from suspension, even Romero will not be as big a miss as he was earlier this month.
