It had been a quietly positive first month for Giovani Lo Celso at Tottenham, with the Argentine just starting to get some minutes on the pitch after his loan move from Real Betis.
Pochettino is never one to throw a player straight into the first team, with Lucas Moura proving testament to that.
However, Lo Celso had come on for the last three Premier League matches, including the North London Derby against Arsenal and away to Man City.
Lo Celso had also started to show a little bit of flair on the ball for Spurs, with a starting debut surely on the cards for the near future.
That was until the midfielder joined up with the Argentina squad and picked up a knock against Chile this week.
Tottenham officially announced today that Lo Celso would likely be out until late October with the resulting hip injury.
Some Spurs fans have not taken the news well:
Call back Jack Clarke then. #BringBackJack

So let me get this right. We signed 4 players in the summer and 3 of them are injured. The 4th was sent back on loan which is probably the only reason he wasn't injured. Pochettino said he didn't think Lo Celso was fit enough but surprise surprise a couple of weeks into a Poch

Absolute fucking joke. Constantly getting injuries. Has to be something to do with Poch’s training. Lo Celso and Ndombele both played full seasons last year, they then join Spurs…
