Tottenham Hotspur are now under a week away from their first pre-season tour match, with the first-team squad set to jet off to Asia.
Spurs are due to take on Juventus in Singapore on July 21, before playing Mna United in Shanghai just four days later.
It remains to be seen who Pochettino will name in his squad, with some first-team players yet to return to training, some linked with an exit, and some academy stars fighting for a chance.
One man whose future is up in the air is Toby Alderweireld, as the centre-back has just one year remaining on his current Tottenham deal.
After extending his contract by an extra year in early 2019, Spurs also triggered a £25m buyout clause for this summer, which is active for another ten days or so (Guardian).
Sky Sports have reported that Roma are interested in taking the player this summer and the two clubs were even in talks last week.
However, Alderweireld’s latest tweet with the COYS hashtag may indicate that he now plans to stay and see his contract out.
