Tottenham Hotspur have announced that Danny Rose has officially joined fellow Premier League club Newcastle United on loan for the rest of the season.
Rose has just 18-months remaining on his contract in North London, despite being at the club for over 12 years.
Sky Sports claim that Newcastle do not have an option or an obligation to buy the left-back at the end of the loan period in the summer. Rose’s long-term future is therefore still up in the air in North London.
It was reported earlier this month that Rose and Mourinho had fallen out in training, with the left-back not featuring in a matchday squad since then (Sun).
Rose has played 214 games for Spurs across ten seasons, although he has been at the club since the 2007/08 season after transferring from Leeds United (Wikipedia).
Some Spurs fans have taken to Twitter to react to the news that Danny has gone out on loan for the next six months:

Hope he’s played his last game in a Spurs shirt. His negative attitude won’t be missed

People abusing him after all the mental health issues hes suffered from is just wrong. Ye hes outspoken but at times he only said what we all felt. A good servant whose fallen out of form for obvious reasons. Best of luck Danny.
