Tottenham Hotspur right-back, Serge Aurier, has always been a divisive figure among Spurs fans ever since the defender joined from PSG.
Aurier seems to have nailed down the first-choice right-back position at the moment under Pochettino, despite his recent run of mistakes.
Serge was sent off in the 2-1 win over Southampton in the Premier League, gave away a penalty to gift Liverpool a 2-1 win at Anfield, and was a major part of the defensive capitulation against Bayern Munich in the embarrassing 7-2.
Aurier missed the match against Red Star Belgrade in midweek, with Juan Foyth putting in a solid display at right-back in his absence.
Spurs take on Sheffield United today, so it remains to be seen whether Pochettino has finally dropped the Ivorian or whether he just rested him on Wednesday.
Some Spurs fans have reacted on Twitter to Aurier’s challenge on young Troy Parrott in training, with the senior player appearing to pull on Parrott’s shirt and go studs in on his ankle.
Honestly sums up Aurier. Not only yanking his top but over the top on his ankle in training on a 17 year old kid. Absolutely ridiculous ??♂️ https://t.co/2vLVxnerhx

No wonder Lamela is injured all the time with Aurier marking him in training. Is that Parrots career he is trying to end there before it’s started??
