Reports all throughout today have linked Tottenham with a move for Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi, despite the fierce rivalry between the two clubs.
Batshuayi has been largely unused in his time at Chelsea, going out on loan twice in the past 12 months.
The latest report from Metro states that any chance of a move is now over, due to Chelsea’s crazy demands.
Batshuayi was recalled from a loan spell at Valencia only to be sent out on loan again, with the report stating that terms have been agreed with both West Ham and Real Betis.
The last minute interest from Spurs has apparently been met with an £8m loan fee for the short-term period, a staggering amount for this kind of deal.
This is said to be four times the amount they have asked for from Real Betis and West Ham.
It seems to be more of a slap in the face to Spurs than a realistic offer.
Some Spurs fans have reacted on Twitter…

He chose them over us when we tried to buy him. He’s made his bed. What’s the fixation with him? He’s pony

We’re a direct rival, West ham aren’t. I hate Chelsea as much as anyone else but it makes sense.

I’d pay that for the option to buy.
