Tottenham Hotspur’s Danny Rose is famed for his honest interviews to the media surrounding things such as his Tottenham contract, Spurs’ transfer policies, racism in football, and his own mental health.
Rose can often be a refreshing source of information about the behind-the-scenes goings-on in football and at Tottenham in particular.
This week, the Spurs left-back has lifted the lid on his current contract at Spurs and when he will leave the North London club.
Rose has been at Spurs for 12 seasons of his senior career now, racking up 206 appearances and 10 goals for the club, while also being the current longest-serving player (Wikipedia).
Danny told the Evening Standard this week that Levy informed him there would be no new contract for him at Tottenham, with 18-months remaining on his existing deal.
However, Rose insists that he will not be going anywhere during this time, stating that he will let the contract run down and leave on a free at that point.
Some Spurs fans have reacted on Twitter:
He’s got a serious grudge with Levy and clearly wants to screw him over. Not saying he’s wrong but I wouldn’t have him near the team tbh.

So in a nutshell Levy has probably pissed off 3/4 of the first team with the way hes running the club.. Poch is fighting a losing battle… This Amazon Documentary will be like Sunderland watching a once great club in free fall… mid table finish this year now

12 years but not a lot of appearances always was over rated massively by spurs fans for one good season out of 12

Because he wants to do what Ramsey did, run his contract down then go elsewhere for massive wages.

only one he cares about is himself , well good luck he wont find a top 6 club .. unfortunate now players have the power we should buy someone and then let him rot … time to move on

Used to be a decent attacking full back. Poor form last couple of years – now always out of position, and concedes too may crosses which turn into goals. Time to move him on.

This is clearly aimed at Levy, it doesn’t bother me. I’d refuse to be sold as well, especially if I had to accept a reduced salary elsewhere. Unfortunately his performances haven’t been good enough which is why he shouldn’t be playing, not because of the this
