Some Spurs fans react to exciting links with £64m midfield man

Tottenham Hotspur may not have purchased any players all season, but they did lose one key individual back in January as Mousa Dembele transferred away from the club.

Dembele have been a mainstay in that Tottenham midfield, when fit, for the entirety of Pochettino’s five years in charge at the club.

Spurs have missed the Belgian powerhouse through the season, especially with injuries to Moussa Sissoko, Harry Winks, Eric Dier, and Victor Wanyama.

However, Spurs are now being linked with a move for a Dembele replacement, albeit a similar sounding replacement.

According to French outlet Le 10 Sport, Spurs are willing to meet the asking price for Lyon’s Tanguy NDombele, and Pochettino has done what no other manager has so far by guaranteeing him first-team football.

The 22-year-old has had an exceptional season so far, highlighted by his sensational performances in the Champions League, particularly in the win against Man City.

Ndombele has previously been valued at around £64m by Metro, and some Spurs fans have taken to Twitter to voice their excitement.
