Argentina is very well represented within the current first-team squad, with the likes of Giovani Lo Celso, Juan Foyth, Erik Lamela, and Paulo Gazzaniga. Not to mention the fact that Mauricio Pochettino also hails from the South American country.
While Lamela is out injured and Gazzaniga was not selected, Lo Celso and Foyth have been called up to the latest Argentina squad.
This comes after the pair both started the recent Champions League match against Red Star Belgrade together, operating in close proximity down the right-hand side.
One man who is also in the Argentina squad is Paulo Dybala, a man who Spurs actively tried to sign in the summer transfer window. It was reported that the Lilywhites even had a bid accepted for the forward (Sky Sports).
It seems as if Lo Celso has now got some optimistic Spurs fans excited again with his recent post celebrating Dybala’s birthday.
Football London add that Dybala is still considered a January transfer target.
