Tottenham Hotspur have had somewhat of a busy transfer window so far when it comes to links and rumours, but no activity with regards to actual signings.
Spurs had a £53m bid turned down for Real Betis attacking midfielder Giovani Lo Celso earlier this month, but no deal has yet been reached (BBC).
The latest saga surrounding Spurs involves Lyon and their midfield powerhouse Tanguy Ndombele, who Pochettino is said to be very keen on (Daily Star)
The latest reports indicate that Spurs are in contact with Lyon over a transfer this summer, but have yet to meet the valuation the French club are looking for.
Sky Sports News claim that Lyon would accept a bid fo £63m for the box-to-box talent, but it remains to be seen whether Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy will part with that kind of club-record cash.
Some fans have taken to Twitter to react to the reported £63m price tag:
Can we just sign the damn player

If that’s the price just pay it Levy (please!) #COYS

Pretty high since they want to sell before the end of the month , my guess is levy is using this to drive the priçe down at the same time another team might just sneak in with a tempting bid though, so who knows whats gonna happen this week!

Lyon want 63 million for ndombele
Every other club in top six – there you go 63 million up front cash
Levy – we will pay you an upfront cost of 15 million the remaining 48 million will be spread across the next 16 years also you’ll have to pay half his wage#COYS pic.twitter.com/1rog4DVfYI

haven’t signed a player for over 500 days , why do spurs fans think we are going to spend 63 million on ndombele and then 68 on Lo Celso, no chance.

If it’s true that £63 is the cost – lets do it!!! @SpursOfficial #Ndombele

United signed Fred for £50 million. City signed Mahrez for £60 million.
£63 million for a player of Ndombele’s caliber should be a no brainer! #COYS #THFC https://t.co/2tdp55T59m— SB (@browniespurs) June 17, 2019
