Tottenham Hotspur have been without their star striker, Harry Kane, for almost two months now and they are beginning to feel the effects of such a blow.
Kane has been the club’s top scorer season after season since breaking into the starting XI, while also being Tottenham’s only senior natural striker at this moment in time.
After Vincent Janssen and Fernando Llorente both left the club in the summer, 18-year-old Troy Parrott represents the next best thing to a Kane back-up.
Harry picked up a ruptured tendon against Southampton on January 1, requiring surgery on the injury, and has not been seen since.
Spurs initially claimed that he would likely return to training in early April, but a report from the Sun has now given a positive update.
It claims that Kane could be back and playing within just six weeks, something that would be a huge boost to Spurs with the recent injury to Heung-min Son.
Some Spurs fans took to Twitter to react:
scientist need to test this guy

Forget England. He should be focussing on being the best shape possible for Spurs at the start of 2020/21.

I’d rather let him get fully fit than rush him for him to get injured longer again
