Tottenham Hotspur had a nightmare start against Brighton recently in the Premier League as they both conceded and lost their captain Hugo Lloris to injury inside three minutes.
With Hugo set to be out for some time, Paulo Gazzaniga came into the starting line-up against Watford this weekend.
Spurs went into the match with just three wins from 11 games across all competitions and desperately needing a confident win and clean sheet.
However, within five minutes Gazzaniga was picking the ball out of the back of his net after some sloppy defending saw Watford score a tap-in.
The Argentine then looked to be a bag of nerves for the rest of the match, slicing his clearances, misplacing passes, and giving the ball straight to the opposition.
Gazzaniga barely had a meaningful save to make in the match, but the initial signs did not look good in terms of him being Lloris’s long-term replacement.
Some Spurs fans responded to the keeper’s latest tweet:
We can't keep watching this tripe I'm afraid.

Your distribution needs to be a lot faster Paulo, more game time and confidence will grow.

Whats happening out there paulo. Last season doing silky turns. Yesterday mis kicks and terrible passes outfield. We’re all behind you all but the mistakes need to stop happening. So hard to cheer all game when 3 mins in we concede. Lately we concede at 45mins most games.

Keep seeing these bullshit posts from Tottenham players on social media. Current form is shocking and all the players need to get their head out of their arses and sort it out.
