Tottenham will take on Ajax in the first of the two Champions League semi-finals this evening at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The match marks Tottenham’s first ever semi-final in the competition, and they made it here the hard way, seeing off a group featuring Barcelona and Inter Milan, as well as Borussia Dortmund and Man City in the knockouts.
With Harry Kane being injured and Son Heung-Min being suspended, Tottenham’s goal scoring threat is severely diminished for the game. Lucas Moura and Fernando Llorente are left as the only fit and available senior strikers at the club.
However, Ajax might have let slip a piece of surprise team news that might serve as a massive boost to Tottenham’s chances.
In the build-up to the game, Ajax’s official Twitter account posted an image of the Tottenham dressing room, and some Spurs fans noticed that Harry Kane’s kit was among those laid out.

It certainly looks as if the picture has been taken today in the dressing room. If so, it is possible that Tottenham’s talisman could have made the bench for the game. If that is the case then it will serve as a huge boost for Tottenham in the final few games of the season.
However, it is also possible that the striker’s kit could have simply been laid out by mistake. Spurs fans will surely be hoping for the former with their fingers crossed.
