Some Spurs fans react to pre-season tour squad announcement

Tottenham Hotspur have announced their squad for the 2018/19 pre-season tour of Asia today, with some surprises in the line-up.

Spurs are set to fly out to Singapore today, where they will play Juventus on July 21 to kick-off the summer tour. The squad will then face fellow Premier League side Man United in Shanghai four days later.

Mauricio Pochettino has included the likes of Christian Eriksen and Toby Alderweireld in his squad, leaving out Trippier, who is set for an Atletico Madrid medical (Football London).

Vincent Janssen, Georges-Kevin Nkoudou, and Danny Rose are also absent from the plane, as Spurs have granted them additional leave in order to explore potential moves to other clubs this summer (Tottenham).

Ben Davies, Cameron Carter-Vickers, and Eric Dier have also been left out of the squad as they recover from their respective injuries.

New man, Tanguy Ndombele, unsurprisingly makes the cut, and will surely make his Tottenham debut during the trip.

Some Spurs fans have taken to Twitter to react to the squad:
