In a starting line up full of the likes of Harry Kane, Lucas Moura, Harry Winks, Erik Lamela and more, it was a man off the bench who saved the day against Aston Villa at the weekend.
While Tanguy Ndombele may have scored the first, followed by a Kane brace, Spurs really did not look like scoring until Christian Eriksen was introduced by Pochettino.
While the Premier League transfer window is now shut for incoming players, Eriksen could yet leave Tottenham this summer. The windows in Spain, Italy, France, and Germany do not shut until September 2.
However, reports now suggest than Juventus are not looking at taking Eriksen this summer at all, but instead laying down the foundations for a free move in 2020.
Juve certainly do love a free transfer, you only have to look at Emre Can, Adrien Rabiot, and Aaron Ramsey to see that.
The Daily Mail state that Eriksen has been contacted by the Italian giants over such a move.
Some Spurs fans have reacted to the news:
Juventus are the snakiest club in world football. Despise them.

Pathetic club, always going for free transfers, I’ll genuinely be pissed if he goes there

Exactly. We looked empty without him against villa. We are likely to get less than 50 if we sold him, I would rather have him this season and leave for free.

If it involves Dybala coming to us in January I’m all for it
