Some Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to lavish praise on record signing Tanguy Ndombele for his display in the Europa League last night.
Ndombele made back-to-back starts after impressing against Southampton as Spurs made the trip to North Macedonia to face Shkendija on Thursday.
The Frenchman ran the show from the centre of midfield throughout the 90 minutes, not only showing his usual flair on the ball, but also some bite to his game.
While Spurs fans have grown accustomed to watching Ndombele lumber around the pitch in a laboured fashion, the former Lyon man got up for headers, tracked back, and showed some real effort.
In fact, it was the first time since December 2019 that Jose Mourinho gave Ndombele a full 90 minutes on the pitch, showing real progress.
The Spurs head coach even came out and praised Ndombele for his performance after the game and he wasn’t the only one as Tottenham fans flooded to Twitter.

Remember when Ndombele was a “waste of money” and “completely useless” and should’ve been sold at the quickest opportunity so we could get world class brozovic? Good times

All Spurs fans want this guy to succeed. If he gets a run in the team and feels a bit of love from the gaffer he could be amazing week in week out. The strength on the ball for the equaliser vs Soton ?, then set the attack on its way, solid!

His aggression and forward passes were great.. NDOMBELE looked like a different player than what I saw.. He has to keep away from injuries now.
