Some Spurs fans react to Tottenham’s Kieran Trippier tweet

Tottenham Hotspur’s Kieran Trippier had a dream of a summer last year in Russia, representing England at the 2018 World Cup.

Not only was he selected to be in the squad after an impressive 2017/18 Premier League campaign with Spurs, but Tripps was also a regular starter at the tournament.

With Kyle Walker pushed into a back three, Trippier was deployed as a right-wing-back in order to utilise his crossing prowess.

Tripps turned out to be one of the best right-backs in the competition, and was a big part of England’s run to the semi-finals, where he even scored a free-kick to put the Three Lions ahead early against Croatia.

Unfortunately, Trippier was unable to carry this superb form into the Tottenham season, despite scoring another delicious free-kick against Fulham on his first game back.

The right-back has recently been linked with a potential £30m move to Italian giants Juventus this summer.

Spurs fans clearly have mixed feeling surrounding Trippier, as many voiced their opinions on Tottenham’s throwback tweet to when they signed the player back in 2015.
