There is a lot of recent Premier League history between Crystal Palace and Tottenham, which is setting up for a rather interesting London derby tomorrow afternoon.
Not only is it a derby, but it is a repeat fixture of the very first game that opened the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, which Spurs won.
There are also ex-players on show as Andros Townsend makes his return to Spurs yet again and he has commented on the event on Twitter.
Townsend sent a tweet out stating that he was looking forward to seeing some familiar faces, ie the Tottenham lads and the Spurs faithful.
Andros came through the youth academy at Tottenham before moving to Newcastle in the 2015/16 season. He managed 93 games and 11 goals in a Spurs shirt, despite the fact that he spent nine spells out on loan (Wikipedia).
Despite leaving and now playing for another London club, the reception for Townsend is always warm and it seems as if tomorrow will be no different.
Always welcome at the Lane, Andros! #OneOfOurOwn ?? Just no worldies tomorrow please!
