Some Spurs fans see ominous signs in Kane’s gesture towards Dane Scarlett

Some Tottenham fans on social media are convinced that Harry Kane is on his way out of the club after the England captain gave a signed shirt to Dane Scarlett wishing the youngster all the best.

Speculation over Kane’s future has dominated the headlines over the last week and the Tottenham forward’s candid interview with Gary Neville on The Overlap podcast left some convinced that that the striker is certain to leave the club this summer.

The 27-year-old looked quite emotional during his lap of honour around the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium after the Lilywhites’ 2-1 loss against Aston Villa on Thursday.

The way the striker embraced Dele Alli and Son Heung-min min after the 4-2 win over Leicester yesterday was seen by some as another sign that he may have played his last game in a Spurs shirt.

Scarlett took to social media to reveal that Kane had handed him a signed shirt with the message: “Keep working hard mate. Best wishes.”

Some Spurs fans felt that the striker writing “Best wishes” could only mean that he is not expecting to be at the club next season.

Spurs Web Opinion

Kane’s body language after the Villa and the Leicester matches certainly seems to suggest that he thinks it could be his final matches in a Tottenham shirt.

However, the striker also admitted in his interview with Gary Neville that he is yet to have a conversation about his future with Daniel Levy. So perhaps he naively assumes that he will get his way and be granted to move.

I am certain that Levy will fight tooth and nail to keep the striker. I expect the Spurs chairman to demand around £175m- £200m.
