Tottenham Hotspur’s Dele Alli certainly hasn’t had his finest year in a Spurs shirt and the player has yet to even take to the pitch this season.
Alli has been hampered with poor form and injuries over the past season after starting his Tottenham career at lightning pace.
With the likes of Tanguy Ndombele and Giovani Lo Celso coming into the Spurs midfield after the summer transfer window, as well as the existing Christian Eriksen, Harry Winks, Moussa Sissoko, Erik Lamela, Lucas Moura, Heung Min Son and more, Alli could find it hard to win his place back.
Ex-Tottenham midfielder, Jamie O’Hara, has been speaking to TalkSPORT about Dele this week, claiming that the England man hasn’t kicked on since bursting onto the scene.
O’Hara believes that Alli has to find more consistency in his game and set himself some new targets and goals in order to improve.
However, some Spurs fans have jumped to Alli’s defence on Twitter:
I would imagine England player Alli will be very keen to take O’Hara’s advice on how to kick on with his career.

What a load of rubbish. Almost all Spurs players performed below par last season because the bsasically had no rest and no preseason. Further the individual in question suffered from several 8njuries throughout the season. Please get individuals who have a clue about football.

His goal involvement stats still stand up to virtually any player his age in Europe and certainly the PL despite what is seen as a sub-standard season last year. He’s a classy footballer and still nowhere near his peak. Fancy a great season out of him this year.
