This campaign has been a weird one for Tottenham and their fans. The team’s form in both the Premier League and the Champions League has been quite up and down.
The club looked down and out of the Champions League three games into the campaign but somehow managed to qualify from the group, and then thrashed Borussia Dortmund to book a place in the quarterfinals.
In the Premier League, Spurs were expected to struggle to finish in the top 4 at the start of the season after failing to add to their squad in the summer.
However, Pochettino’s men outperformed all expectations and looked set to challenge for the title until a month ago, but a poor run of results recently have seen them once again locked in a tussle for Champions League qualification.
So, given the inconstancy the team has shown this season, it is rather hard to pick the club’s player of the season.
When the club asked the fans who has been the star performer this season, the majority of fans were torn between two players – Son Heung-Min and Moussa Sissoko.
Son was in sensational form from November to February as his goals ensured that Spurs kept getting wins in the absence of both Kane and Alli due to injuries.
Sissoko, on the other hand, has completely resurrected his Spurs career and has consistently excelled in the heart of Spurs’ midfield.
So understandably Spurs fans were divided on their responses.
Moussa Sissoko. Has to be. Partly for showing such character and sticking with it.

Sonny has grabbed the headlines due to his goals, however, for consistency over the season so far, it surely must be Sissoko. Never thought I’d say that after his first first season or so, but he’s been a much needed replacement in midfield for Dembele.
