Some Spurs fans have taken to social media to express their desire to see Michel Vorm return to the club in a coaching capacity after the goalkeeper announced his retirement from professional football this month.
Vorm was Lloris’ main understudy for the majority of his six years in North London and was a solid servant for the club.
The 37-year-old only made 48 appearances during his time at Spurs but was a respected voice in the dressing room.
He has been without a club since his contract with the Lilywhites ran out in July and took to Instagram earlier in the week to post a heartfelt message announcing his retirement and thanking all the clubs he has played for, including Spurs.
The Dutchman had declined during his final couple of years in North London and found himself falling down the pecking order behind Paulo Gazzaniga.
However, it is a sign of how highly thought of he was at the club that some Spurs fans still look back at his time fondly and want him to return as a goalkeeping coach.
Crazy that he couldn't find a job after leaving us. I thought he would go start in the Eeredivisie. I bet he comes back to Spurs as a coach
