Some Spurs fans have not been particularly reassured by reports suggesting that Spurs have no intention of selling star man Harry Kane to a Premier League rival.
The striker’s future has been subject to a lot of speculation this summer, with the likes of Manchester United (Evening Standard) and Real Madrid (Diario Madridista) reported to be interested in signing him.
The Daily Mail reported yesterday that Daniel Levy was prepared to sell the England captain to Manchester United if the Red Devils stump up a world record £200 million fee for the striker.
Sky Sports, however, contradicted that claim by suggesting that Spurs have no intention of selling the 26-year-old to a Premier League rival.
Rather than seeing this as a positive development, some Spurs fans wondered if this meant the striker was Real Madrid bound, while others felt the chairman will let Kane leave if the club’s asking price was met.
Here’s how some fans reacted to the latest rumours regarding Kane:
They had no intention of selling Berbatov to them either. ?

It’s clear that behind the scenes Kane wants a move. Spurs won’t sell him to a premier league team so cue: Real Madrid.

“no intention…” sounds like Berbatov, Carrick, Modric, Bale.

Is this going to be the perpetual story of the summer?

Was noticeable that they only mentioned to anyone in the prem league, so still left the door ajar for Real Madrid (only team really who could afford him now that he'd go to)

If a player wants to leave and the price is right there is nothing anyone can do. It has happened with many players over the years. In the current climate Levy will be even more willing to sell. Trouble is he will have to pay 80-100m for a replacement and who will want to come?

Hilarious people thinking this is going to happen.

if we got £1b for him we’d still squander it, there’s really no good outcome to us selling him that I can see

Spurs Web Opinion
There is no chance that Levy will sell Kane this summer as we wouldn’t be able to get maximum value for him in the current market scenario. I believe the most likely scenario would be the striker moving on to Real Madrid or Juventus in a year if we don’t show any signs of improvement next season.
