Tottenham Hotspur have released their final squad for the upcoming Audi Cup pre-season tournament in Germany at the Allianz Arena.
Spurs take on Real Madrid tomorrow at 5 pm UK time, before playing either Bayern Munich or Fenerbahce on Wednesday in the final or third-place playoff.
All the talk is about Danny Rose’s return to the Tottenham squad, after the left-back was dropped for the tour of Asia earlier this month.
Spurs announced that they had left the England man at home to pursue a potential move away from the club.
Juventus and PSG were both rumoured to be interested in taking Rose on a £20m deal, but nothing has been agreed as of yet (Guardian).
Rose’s inclusion in the Audi Cup squad would tend to imply that he is back in Pochettino’s plans for the new season, with an exit now less likely.
It is fair to say that some Spurs fans are happy with his recall.
