It has been a great season for Tottenham Hotspur so far, and James Maddison has played a big part in that success. Now, the man himself has touched on the special feeling at the club this year and what he feels the future holds for Spurs.
Having signed from Leicester City last summer, James Maddison had an instant impact on the Spurs squad. He was named as one of Ange Postecoglou‘s vice-captains, and proved to be instrumental in the club’s unbeaten run at the start of the season.
With three goals and seven assists so far this term (Transfermarkt), Maddison is undoubtedly the main source of creative inspiration in this Spurs side, and is often looked at as the man that makes things tick in the midfield.
However, it is a team effort of course, and the Lilywhites currently sit in fifth place in the Premier League, which is a far cry from the mid-table obscurity that was predicted by many at the start of the campaign.

Good times are coming for Spurs, says Maddison
Speaking to snooker legend Stephen Hendry on his Cue Tips show, Maddison praised the positive atmosphere around the club at present and insisted the team has a bright future ahead.
Hendry discussed all the great things he has been hearing about Spurs, and Maddison said: “Yeah we’ve been a bit unlucky with injuries and we’ve lost key players to suspensions at the wrong time, and we’ve got key players on international duty now, too.
“It’s been a bit of a stop-start season, but I still think there’s something in the air at Spurs. Something is brewing.”
Spurs Web Opinion
I haven’t felt this positive about Tottenham in a very, very long time, at least since the peak days of the Pochettino era. Postecoglou is putting together something special here for sure, and Maddison is such a key part of that.
