‘Something tells me’ – Ex-Arsenal player makes North London Derby prediction

Kevin Campbell believes Tottenham’s key Premier League fixture at home to Arsenal next month will end in a draw.

The upcoming North London derby is set to be of major importance with both sides in hot pursuit of the final Champions League spot.

Arsenal, who currently occupy fourth, are just two points ahead of fifth-placed Spurs who have dropped points in recent fixtures against Brighton and Brentford respectively.

While there are another four games that could also determine the teams’ final positions in the table, all eyes are expected to be on the May 12 encounter, particularly with Spurs seeking revenge after losing the reverse fixture in September.

Campbell was asked to give his prediction of how the match will play out, to which he decided that a stalemate would be the likeliest outcome, despite wanting former employers Arsenal to claim bragging rights in N17.

He told The Highbury Squad: “I think it’s going to end in a draw. I do. Listen, I want us [Arsenal] to win so badly, but something tells me it’s going to end in a draw to keep us on the edge.”

It is a match that Spurs cannot afford to drop points in but no doubt they will be up for it. Hopefully, by that point Spurs will have lifted themselves into a better position in the table, despite the trickiness of their fixtures, so it can make the occasion slightly less daunting.
