Son makes ESPN Champions League best XI so far – but which surprise Spurs star joins him?

Tottenham Hotspur have enjoyed a successful Champions League run so far this year, albeit an eventful one.

Spurs got off to the worst possible start in the group stages, losing their first two games and only taking a point from PSV in their third.

This left them needing a near-flawless run in the second half of the group, with Spurs going on to win against PSV and Inter Milan before earning a draw at the Nou Camp.

This was enough to pull off a sensational group stage comeback, sending Tottenham into the round of 16 where they would play Borussia Dortmund.

Sitting comfortably top of the German League, Dortmund were always going to be tough opponents, but Tottenham eased them aside with three goals in the second half of their first leg.

This leaves Tottenham with one foot in the quarter finals, and ESPN named two Spurs stars in their best eleven so far.

Not surprisingly Sonny makes the list, but Serge Aurier is also included at right back.
