Former Spurs star, Ramon Vega has delivered a blunt verdict on the squad’s performance in Sunday’s defeat to Wolves, sending a clear message to Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici.
One-time Tottenham centre-back Ramon Vega took to Twitter on Sunday after Spurs were humiliated at home for the second time this week, and he was not happy one bit about what he saw.
Vega – who helped the club win the League Cup in 1999 – tore into just about everyone at the club, from Fabio Paritci and Antonio Conte to the players themselves.
He said (Twitter): ‘That’s now 3 straight defeats in the Premier League so Mr. Conte and Mr. Paratici don’t want to hear any excuses from you 2 just sort it out!
‘The players should start to ask themselves are they even worthy to play for the club or just happy to get the cheque at the end of the month.’
With the 2-0 defeat to Wolves, Spurs have fallen even further back in the chase for a Champions League spot.

Spurs Web Opinion:
You can’t blame Vega for being disappointed in Spurs’ performances, especially as of late. You also can throw a fair share of the blame at the players, who at this point have performed below expectations for the better part of three seasons now.
However, it seems a bit early to throw the blame on Conte, especially after how well the team did when he first arrived. While some of Conte’s squad selections have maybe been a bit questionable as of late, he only has so much to work with.
Even blaming Paritici seems a bit harsh, considering what he was tasked to fix when he arrived. He’s had just two transfer windows to fix the issues, and during a pandemic no less.
However, Tottenham is a big club with big resources and high expectations, and they need to turn things around soon if they want a return to Champions League football.
