Sources set the record straight about the Eriksen to Madrid rumours

Real Madrid have not made any enquiries to sign Christian Eriksen from Tottenham Hotspur, according to ESPN.

Reports earlier today from Marca suggested that Spurs had placed a €250 million price tag on the Denmark international.

The report had claimed that the current Champions League holders had earmarked Eriksen as a potential successor to former Spur Luka Modric at the Bernabeu.

Eriksen’s contract expires at Tottenham in the summer of 2020 and no breakthrough has been made over a new deal, despite talks having been held since the end of the last campaign.

Tottenham sources have told ESPN that there has been no approach for Eriksen from Real Madrid or from any other club.

The playmaker was named among the substitutes for Tottenham’s Champions League clash against Inter Milan and came off the bench to score an 80th minute winner at Wembley to keep our hopes of progressing through to the knockout stages of the competition alive.
