Southampton investigate anti-Semitic chanting towards Spurs

Tottenham took on Southampton at St Mary’s this weekend in a crucial game for the North London club.

After dropping eight points from their last nine, only a win would get them back on track in their pursuit of the top four spots.

However, Tottenham gave away a lead and complete domination of the game, handing Southampton the chance to steal a 2-1 win, which they happily grabbed with both hands.

This made it three losses in the past four games for Tottenham, a worrying form guide ahead of their next game against Liverpool.

It will also give other top four hopefuls the chance to go above Spurs as the North London side do not play again for over 20 days.

Despite this news, there was an event that may have overshadowed any footballing result, as Southampton are now investigating a report of anti-Semitic chanting from fans towards Spurs players and supporters (SkySports).
