Spanish winger said to favour move to two Italian clubs over Spurs for one key reason

Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Adama Traore is said to be in favour of a move to Atalanta or Napoli ahead of Tottenham Hotspur, according to 90min and has already held talks with the Serie A pair.

The Spanish international was heavily linked with a move to north London last January and instead joined Barcelona on loan for the remainder of the campaign before heading back to Molineux earlier this summer (Guardian).

Traore is set to be out of contract at Julen Lopetegui’s side come the end of the campaign and is able to discuss a Bosman transfer with the two Italian clubs this month.

The jet-heeled winger is prioritising clubs who will play him in his preferred position, compared to Tottenham who had planned to convert him into a right wing-back to fit in with Antonio Conte’s tactical set-up.

While there is no question about Traore’s physical ability, he lacks composure on the ball especially in attacking areas which is something that Spurs fans have had to endure with the likes of Emerson Royal this season.

Pedro Porro is a much better alternative given his accuracy with crosses into the box to create chances for his forward line; something which Harry Kane has been starved of in recent seasons.
