"We're actually speaking to Tottenham about that"

Swansea City are keen on signing Tottenham’s highly rated youngster Steven Caulker on loan.

The England Under-21 international made 30 appearances last season for Bristol City and the Championship club were keen to bring him back for another spell.

“Steven Caulker, yes, is a player Brendan is interested in bringing in,” said Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins.

“We’re actually speaking to Tottenham about that, and we’ll hope to perhaps conclude something this week.”
