Some Spurs fans on social media are convinced that Tanguy Ndombele is leaving the club this summer after the midfielder took to Instagram to post a cryptic message following Tottenham’s 3-1 loss to Leeds United on Saturday.
Ndombele has started just one game since Ryan Mason took over the reins from Jose Mourinho.
The midfielder once again started on the bench at Elland Road and only came on with ten minutes of regular time left and with Spurs chasing the game.
However, despite having fresh legs, the Frenchman did not bust a gut to cover an 84th-minute counter-attack from the home side which led to their third goal.
The result has all but ended Tottenham’s hopes of finishing in the top four, which could be quite ominous for the North London club’s hopes of hanging on to Harry Kane.
Ndombele has taken to Instagram to post a picture of him and Kane after the final whistle along with three hourglass emojis.
Some Spurs fans on social media interpreted the post as suggesting that Ndombele and Kane’s time at the club have come to an end.
Time for him to go it’s not worked Wish him well if/when he gets sold if he’s still here nothing will change

Ndombele’s IG post had no words but it speaks volumes.

He’s probably counting down the days until transfer window. He’s not been happy at Spurs since we signed him so a move is probably best for him and Spurs.

Probably just means he wants to get out there and do well, wouldn’t read much into it

Good riddance, Ndombele

I hate cryptic messages like this from professional football players. Do your talking on the pitch mate. You’re not a 13 year old girl ffs

If someone doesn’t want to be in the club, just let him go. We need a rebuilding and the players who play for this club must want to wear the Tottenham shirt

Spurs Web Opinion
Spurs fans might be reading too much into this post. It could well mean something more mundane such as time is running out with just three games left for the club to salvage their season, or Ndombele getting minutes on the pitch.
