Manchester City and Tottenham have reportedly agreed a deal for Emmanuel Adebayor after the striker spent last season on loan at White Hart Lane.

No official word from either club as of yet, but as soon as there is we will let you know.

Good signing?

Have something to tell us about this article?

  1. Yeah glad we signed him, but IMO he isnt good enough for what we need in a striker. He has a very poor first touch and misses too many chances. On the positive side he puts a shift in and isnt too selfish.

What we need is a young Jimmy Greaves kinda player, someone with pace, skill, control and the ability to put the ball in the net on a very regular basis. The amount of chances we create as a team demands the best of strikers to put them away. PLEASE dont anyone say JD, he is a championship player or lower Prem league, he will never be good enough for us.

  2. laurence is right but we also need wingers like cliff jones or jimmy robertson, saw greaves twice beat five defenders and score
    v man utd 5-1
    v leicester city 3-2
shilton was in goal , he was 19
but it would be great to have the spurs greats of the past like gillie, hodd and bonny smith not to mention danny, this lot we've got are just mercenaries really that why i loved o'hara

  3. happy to see we have ade on board permanently, looking at what is available out there i think we can put ade top of the pile. he certainlly gave his all last season and can only get better.
