Spurs and United to battle it out for Sessegnon

According to ESPN sources, Manchester United are ready to rival Spurs for Ryan Sessegnon’s signature this summer should Fulham cash in on the England under-21 international.

United believe 17-year-old Sessegnon, who has scored 15 goals in the Championship this season, would prefer to stay in London if he leaves Craven Cottage however that will not stop them putting together a lucrative offer if Fulham indicate that they are willing to listen to offers.

Sessegnon has had a terrific season that has seen him win both the Championship Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year awards and he has been tracked by United since his days in Fulham’s academy and watched repeatedly by club scouts following his first-team debut last season.

The article goes on to say Jose Mourinho is considering adding a left-back to his squad this summer, with Ashley Young about to turn 33 and doubts over Luke Shaw’s long-term future and it goes on to say how United have watched Kieran Tierney of Celtic, Alex Sandro of Juventus and Espanyol’s Aaron Martin, while Mourinho remains an admirer of Spurs full-back Danny Rose.
