Stan Collymore has urged Marcus Rashford to snub interest from Arsenal and move to their North London rivals Tottenham instead next summer.
While Rashford had always been earmarked as a future superstar from a young age, the forward has perhaps not been able to hit the heights people expected him to consistently, even though he has continued to show in regular intervals just why he is so highly thought of.
The 26-year-old is no longer a regular in the England set-up and has had some off-field issues recently which have cast some doubts regarding his future at Old Trafford under Erik Ten Hag.
It was reported by Inews last week that after the striker’s latest conversations with the Man Utd boss regarding his disciplinary problems, Paris Saint-Germain are plotting a move for him next summer.
A couple of days ago, Football Insider suggested that Arsenal are also keeping tabs on the forward’s situation, with Mikel Arteta said to be keen on bringing the player to the Emirates Stadium.

Would Marcus Rashford thrive at Tottenham?
However, Collymore believes that Ange Postecoglou is much more likely to get the best out of Rashford by putting an arm around his shoulder and giving him the freedom to express himself.
The former Liverpool man told CaughtOffSide about the Man Utd star’s future: “In terms of what club he should go and play for, I know there has been a lot of chatter about Arsenal, and they may well be the ideal fit for him, but for me, it’s really simple — Rashford needs to be at a club where the manager is stable and not going anywhere anytime soon.
“He needs a manager, who has a lot of control at a club, spends some quality time with him and get inside his head to figure out exactly how to get the best out of him. If he can find that in Mikel Arteta, so be it but I actually think Ange Postecoglou would do wonders for him.
“Postecoglou would say to Rashford ‘mate, there’s no pressure, just go out and attack like you did when you were a kid’. He would take the weight of the world off his shoulders and probably help him rediscover his love for the game.
“Let’s be honest as well, I know fans are quick to take the mick but Spurs are a massive club, and there’s no doubt about it, they are heading in the right direction again. So come on then, Rashford to Spurs, who says no?”
Spurs Web Opinion
With Rashford contracted to Man Utd until 2028, I do not see the Red Devils allowing him to leave next summer. Even if the player demands to leave his boyhood club, United will put a massive price tag on him, which is likely to put him beyond Tottenham’s reach.
