Brad Friedel and Danny Mills both named Tottenham forward Heung-min Son in their respective Premier League Teams of the Season.

Son has kicked on from last term – which is currently his most productive campaign to date – and is currently Spurs’ leading scorer in the top flight.

With his 19 goals in 31 appearances, the South Korean star is only trailing Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah in the race for the Premier League Golden Boot.

Son’s displays have also been key in keeping Tottenham in the hunt for a place in the Champions League with his side just two points behind rivals Arsenal with four games remaining.

And his efforts have impressed both Friedel and Mills, who named him as the only Spurs player to feature among the best 11 players in the Premier League this season.

The respective teams featured a number of Manchester City and Liverpool players as a result of both sides’ impressive campaigns at the top of the table.

But the punditry duo found enough room to include Son in their forward lines containing Salah and Phil Foden from the respective title challengers.

Spurs Web Opinion

Son would be more than deserving of a place in the Premier League Team of the Season as he has been one of Tottenham’s more consistent performers.

He did have a couple of blips in form, but there are names in the respective teams that have also gone through the same thing at points.

No doubt Harry Kane would be on the list too if it was going by the second half of his season, but the first few months of his season really set him back in his case.
