Journalist Gianni Visnadi is not happy with the fee that AC Milan spent on Emerson Royal, suggesting that Tottenham Hotspur will still be pinching themselves about the deal.

Emerson Royal swapped Spurs for the San Siro
The writing was always on the wall for Emerson in the summer transfer window, with the right-back evidently not part of Ange Postecoglou’s plans.
It did not come as a surprise when the defender eventually sealed a permanent move to the San Siro, with the Lilywhites getting a fee of £13m (TNT Sports) from the Rossoneri for the Brazilian.
Emerson has not had the easiest of starts to life at Milan, having struggled in his debut against Parma as well as his first start against Lazio.
The 25-year-old has come under plenty of criticism for his displays (MilanNews), with many journalists already writing him off as a flop, including European football expert James Horncastle (The Athletic).

Emerson Royal has not hit the ground running in Italy
Visnadi has now become the latest to join the club, with the reporter blasting Milan for the deal and suggesting that the former Spurs man is not capable of solving their issues on the right.
He told Sky Italia (as relayed by TuttoMercatoWeb): “There are a million things that don’t work in Milan. There is no sporting director at Milan: they spent money, but they spent it badly. There is no one with the experience needed to make the right deals at the right prices.
“One above all: in England, they are still rubbing their hands for having dismissed someone like Emerson Royal, who arrived to solve problems that he won’t solve. Milan only arrived at the end of the transfer market on Fofana, their best signing, after chasing him for two months.”
Spurs Web Opinion
Emerson was always swimming against the tide at Milan as his signing was not looked at favourably by the club’s fans or those in the media. While he has had a tough start, many are writing him off too quickly.
The 25-year-old is capable of making his critics eat their words and I would not be surprised if he manages to win over the Rossoneri faithful by the end of the season.
