Tottenham have absolutely no regrets about the signing of Dominic Solanke, according to GiveMeSport, who say that the coaches at Spurs are confident he will succeed at the club.

Tottenham are happy with Solanke signing

While the big fee that Spurs shelled out on Solanke raised some eyebrows, it is said that the Lilywhites hierarchy are happy with the decision they made to break their transfer record on the Englishmen.

It is revealed that there is no fear at all internally at the club about the centre-forward potentially being a flop.

In fact, there is said to be confidence among Postecoglou and his coaching staff that the former Cherries man will show his class on the pitch over the coming weeks.

Spurs are working on new patterns in training

The report says that Spurs have been working on different patterns of play in training to maximise Solanke’s impact.

The club believe that the 26-year-old will be ‘lethal in front of goal’ as long as he gets better service. This comes after Solanke netted his first Spurs goal against Brentford on his third start for the club.

The publication adds that Ange Postecoglou sees the striker as a good fit for Tottenham and is adamant that the newcomer has the work-rate and the technical attributes needed to succeed in his system.

Solanke needs time to settle at Tottenham

As is always the case with big-money signings, Solanke has been under the microscope since the start of the season, with too much being made of some of his early performances.

It would be unfair to judge the striker unless he has had around 15 games under his belt. I still back him to get 15-20 goals in his first season for the club, which would be a decent return.
