Press reports are claiming that Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Porto striker Radamel Falcao.

According to TalkSport, Harry Redknapp is ready to do battle with Bayern Munich in order to bring the Colombian to White Hart Lane.

Falcao joined Porto from River Plate in 2009 and has scored nine goals in 16 appearances this season.

He is under contract until 2013 and is valued in the region of £13million.

Porto sources said: “We have not received any offers and we are calm. The sale of this player is not currently in our thoughts.”

  1. Think he would be worth a punt but we need someone who'd hit the ground running, perhaps in addition to someone like Falcao otherwise we'd be back at square one if he flops/takes an age to adapt. I think a bid for Elmander at Bolton or Santa Cruz at city could be worth making.

  2. elmander isn’t looking so bad but hes not top draw. santa cruz seems past it. we need someone with pace, i dont know anything about falcao i sadly see adebyeor being the perfect fit for our team.. and he hardly plays for city you never know if we put a big bid in. other than him i dont know. dzecko worth a punt but not for ovver 25mil hes not proven in the prem
