Spurs boss defends King, Van der Vaart and co

Ledley King

Harry Redknapp has defended Ledley King after the Spurs skipper was pictured coming out of a nightclub looking like he had fallen asleep.

He said: “It was only one picture, and only Ledley who looks like he’s fallen asleep.

“They came to me and said they wanted to go out for dinner. Rafa [van der Vaart] and the new lads said they wanted to go out.

“I said as long as there no problems it was okay and apparently there’s been no problem.”

Redknapp is not a fan of players going out drinking but he added: “You can always get pictrues of people with their eyes closed.

Have something to tell us about this article?

  1. They came and asked him if they could go out to dinner?

    Of course they did.

Judging by some of his more amusing lies, I reckon Harry has a pretty low opinion of people’s intelligence.

  2. Sounds like great management from Harry.

The players can let their hair down without it getting out of control.

Most of those pictured are injured and Bale and Modric prefer a shandy to a drink anyway so there will be no impact on the pitch.

  3. Its snow wonder Harry is not Mad the games off the Partys finished and the Lads have bonded well Ledders and the Bouncers have. Well done Harry good man management now send the fines to Davspurs charity
