According to an article by talkSPORT the club are interested in snapping up in-demand Villarreal forward Cedric Bakambu.

The article says the DR Congo international has been in red-hot form in LaLiga this season, netting 14 times in 21 appearances for the Spanish giants and this magnificent form has attracted the interest of several of Europe’s biggest clubs ahead of next month’s transfer window.

It adds that according to Spanish publication Marca, Spurs are the latest club to be linked with Bakambu as they desperately attempt to lift the burden on star striker Harry Kane.

However it adds that we are not expected to have it all our own way in the January window though with Newcastle, West Ham and West Brom all linked with the Villarreal star too.

What do we think guys. He’s a great pedigree but as we know the last time we bought a forward from Spain it didn’t exactly work out. Have you heard of him? Soldado, Janssen and Llorente haven’t worked out, will it be 4th time lucky?Let us know your thoughts.

Have something to tell us about this article?

  1. He regularly played with Soldado when he returned to Spain and they formed quite a partnership. He seems like he would be a good signing, but didn't they all?

Probably best to recall Janssen and stick with what we have while promoting Sterling to the first team.
