Spurs coach reveals touch of class from Danny Rose after leaving the club

Tottenham Hotspur academy coach, Samuel Peter Cox, has revealed that Danny Rose left the club with a classy parting gesture this week.

Spurs announced earlier this week that both Danny Rose and Paulo Gazzaniga, as well as a handful of academy players, had left the club following the conclusion of their contracts.

This brought an end to a 14-year Tottenham career for the English left-back after he joined from Leeds United back in 2007.

Things didn’t exactly end on a positive note for Rose, with the defender not making a single appearance, or any of the squads for that matter, this season.

However, Samuel Peter Cox revealed that Rose turned up to watch the Spurs youth side at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last night, despite his contract coming to an end.

The coach claimed that Rose watched the youngsters play and then even stepped in to give them some advice for the future before parting ways with the North London club.

Cox said: ‘The side people don’t see of Danny Rose.

Despite no involvement with the 1st team this season and playing/training with the u23’s… Dan has been nothing short of a role model for all of our young players, showing leadership, humility and a great attitude throughout.

‘Even despite coming to the end of his contract, he still turned up to watch our young academy players last night at the stadium and give them some priceless advice after the game. A top professional and a top human being who will be missed. Love my brother.’
