Spurs confirm player has left the club

Tottenham Hotspur have released an official statement confirming that the club has reached an agreement with Chinese Super League side Guangzhou R&F for the transfer of midfielder Mousa Dembele.

The 31-year-old joined Spurs from Fulham back in 2012 and has gone on to make 250 appearances in his six and half years at the club scoring 10 times.

Dembele has been one of the most important parts of Pochettino’s revolution, playing a key part in helping us evolve from top four contenders to title challengers.

The Belgian has had his fair share of injury troubles in recent seasons, and there is doubt if his body can cope with the physical demands of English top flight football anymore. With the midfielder’s contract running out at the end of the season, the rumoured £11 million deal represents good value for the club.

There is no doubt Spurs fans will miss watching Dembele in action, as he was absolutely unplayable on his day, just cast your mind back to Juventus away last season.

Spurs Web would like to wish him all the best for the future.
