Spurs confirm signing of promising forward on deal until 2025

Tottenham Hotspur have officially announced the signing of forward Will Lankshear from Sheffield United.

Lankshear is considered among the best strikers in his age group across England, with the teenager topping Under- 18 Professional Development League top-scorers last season (Sky Sports).

The 17-year-old was previously in Arsenal’s academy, with the Blades snapping him up twelve months ago following his release by the Gunners.

The young striker caught the attention of clubs across the country with his performances in the developmental side last season, with Brentford also said to have been keen on landing the striker this summer.

Tribal Football reported earlier this week that Spurs were set to beat the Bees to Lankshear’s signature after agreeing on a £2m fee with Sheffield United – an offer that is said to have blown Thomas Frank’s men ‘out of the water’.

Spurs have now confirmed that the striker has signed a contract until 2025 and will join up with the club’s academy.
