Spurs continue to track exciting Swedish winger – says Fabrizio Romano

Tottenham Hotspur are not giving up in their pursuit of young Swedish winger, Roony Bardghji, and they are one of the clubs continuing to scout the exciting talent ahead of a possible approach in the summer.

Spurs are known to be in the market for a new winger at the end of the season, with a clear preference for a young player.

Recently, the club has been linked to Antonio Nusa (Sacha Tavolieri) and Jaden Philogene (TeamTalk)

However, one name that has been on the radar for a while is Copenhagen’s Roony Bardghji. The Lilywhites are thought to have been tracking the Scandinavian star for some time now (90Min).

Copenhagen’s sporting director, Peter Christiansen, has already admitted he expects the player to move on eventually and join a bigger club (Bold).

Even Bardghji himself has discussed the idea of joining Tottenham, and when asked if he would make the move he told Aftonbladet it could happen.

Spurs still want Roony Bardghji

Talk surrounding Bardghji’s future had gone a little quiet of late, but speculation has surfaced again now, with Fabrizio Romano revealing Tottenham are one of a number of clubs still scouting and considering a move for the youngster.

It is thought Spurs have continued to keep an eye on Bardghji’s progress of late, but they are not the only club to be watching.

Romano added that Bardghji has no intention of signing a new contract with Copenhagen. His current deal expires in December 2025.

Spurs Web Opinion

I think out of Bardghji, Philogene, and Nusa, I would go for the former. He’s already performed on the highest stage in the Champions League and the Swedish connection with Kulusevski and Bergvall could be key to helping him settle at Spurs if he were to make the move to North London. Plus, his contract situation would make the signing a little easier, too.
