Spurs could look to raise £100m from selling six players this summer – Journalist

Football.London’s Alasdair Gold has said that Tottenham would be able to raise £100m or above from the sale of several first-team players this summer, with six players, in particular, expected to fetch decent fees.

While Ange Postecoglou’s first season in charge has undoubtedly been a successful one, it is clear that the club need more quality if they are to challenge the best sides in the Premier League next season.

With Tottenham also look set to return to Europe, the Aussie coach would want to bulk up the squad in order to give the side the best chance of competing on multiple fronts.

Fire sale expected at Tottenham

While Tottenham have been linked with a whole host of signings over recent months, Gold has now said that the club will look to offload several players for decent money in the summer in order to add to their transfer kitty.

The journalist states that Bryan Gil, Sergio Reguilon and Joe Rodon will all be allowed to find new clubs as they are surplus to requirements for Ange Postecoglou.

Meanwhile, the Lilywhites also expect plenty of interest from across the continent for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Giovani Lo Celso, with both midfielders in demand.

Finally, he says that Tottenham could also cash in on Emerson Royal for a decent fee if the Brazilian is willing to exit the club. Gold asserts that just these six players could add £100m or more to the club’s coffers.

Apart from these names, the likes of Japhet Tanganga, Ryan Sessegnon, Troy Parrott, Djed Spence, Oliver Skipp and Tanguy Ndombele might also be on their way out of Hotspur Way, which could perhaps add another £30m-£40m to Tottenham’s transfer kitty.
