The Times claim that a fixture pile-up among teams in the European competitions could result in the Premier League’s top seven excluded from the League Cup next season.
However, the report also suggests that a final decision has yet to be made but there is a real possibility of the top seven Premier League teams being left out of the domestic competition.
It also suggests a few alternatives, including the competition not being held next season or the academy squads being allowed to play.

Also, European competitions are still planned to finish their group stage by December. Overall, the Carabao Cup could add unwanted tiredness to our players and would prefer to focus on the league or Europe.
