Spurs defender extends his stay away from North London

Danny Rose has agreed to extend his loan deal from Tottenham at Newcastle United until the end of the season.

The left-back joined the Magpies in January on a short-term loan, however, given the suspension of the Premier League season due to COVID-19, Rose has now agreed to remain on Tyneside until the end of the campaign.

Rose has made just six appearances for the Magpies since his move in January as a result of the pandemic. (Transfermarkt).

He was set to return to Spurs at the end of last month, however, the Doncaster-born defender will now spend another month in the north east.

Spurs still face a trip to Tyneside following the resumption of top flight, but Rose will not feature in the game due to the terms of the loan agreement.

Spurs Web Opinion

It will be interesting to see what happens to Rose when he returns to Spurs at the end of the season. Personally, I do not see a future for him under Mourinho with Davies and Sessegnon occupying the left-back position.
