Spurs defender names former academy youngster as his dream centre-back partner

Tottenham youngster, Malachi Fagan-Walcott has named former Spurs academy starlet Luis Binks as his dream central defensive partner in a Q and A on Instagram.

Binks left Tottenham in January to sign for MLS side Montreal Impact and, after impressing in his first few months in Canada, was snapped up by Serie A side Bologna in the summer.

He was subsequently loaned back to the MLS club, where he has continued to shine this campaign.

The 19-year-old was thought of very highly at Tottenham, with reports indicating that Jose Mourinho tried everything to stop him from leaving the club (Daily Mail).

Fagan-Walcott is also considered by many within the club to be a potential star for the future, having signed his first professional contract a week after Mourinho took charge.

The Spurs boss handed the 18-year-old his first-team debut in the Champions League defeat against RB Leipzig last season.

The teenager has admitted on Instagram (as relayed by TBR Football) that he would love to be reunited with Binks in the future, naming the former Tottenham man as his dream defensive partner.
